Theme of the Month
Theme of the Month for October is "Spooktacular Tricks and Treats" featuring Halloween-themed books, DVDs, mystery novels, comics, graphic novels, puzzles, and games. Featured authors this month are Blaise & John Clement, Nevada Barr, and Emily Rodda.
New Materials Every Week
The Friends Bookstore is refreshed frequently, with titles rotating in and out. And just because the books are used, doesn’t mean they’re worn: the store has selections ranging from Harry Potter and Tom Clancy, to new fiction, to DIY craft books, cook books, and more!
Volunteer-Run Store
The FMPL Bookstore is staffed with volunteers giving their time to support the Madison Public Library. From cashiering to restocking shelves, the bookstore could not run without its volunteers. Want to join our incredible staff of volunteers? Apply to be a volunteer today.
Feeling Lucky?
This month, our popular "Blind Date With A Book" special includes a selection of mystery and spooky fiction.
