Incorporated in 1961, the Friends of the Madison Public Library provides monetary and volunteer support for the entire Madison Public Library community.
We are looking for an Outreach Volunteer Coordinator.
This position will be responsible for the following:
- Monitoring the online volunteer application process
- Screening potential volunteers for interest (bookstore clerk, book sales, book sorting, etc.) and connecting volunteers to managers of those Friends activities
- Assisting with the scheduling of book sale volunteers, including reminder calls
This position is a front face of the Friends with our potential volunteers and we are looking for someone who likes meeting new people and helping them get what they want and need from their volunteering experience. It is estimated that this position is only 2-5 hours per week, with a little more time during the week before each of the four books sales held annually.
